From the very moment that I visually encountered the distinctive double-breasted, shawl-collared waistcoats of Winston & Lee, I was profoundly aware that I had "discovered" a timeless and elegant illustration of sartorial style and substance. I could not wait to order several new vests from the varied selection of patterns and colors.

When I eventually connected with the owner and designer, Walter Njboke, I was immediately captivated by his mellifluous tone of voice and resonant accent. Ah yes, the vocally-cultivated voice had its  roots in Nigeria. Walter had originally emigrated to the US to play collegiate sports. However, his connection with fashion has been marinating since, at a  young age, Walter began to re-design his clothing to reflect more of his personal statement of style. His enduring attention to detail spans the fashion nuances from buttons, to distinctive palettes of patterns, and fine stitching...attentive to a small element of style with potentially significant impact.

Walter has always been motivated to leave a "lasting impression"  through the confident display of his eye-catching wardrobe. This gift of a discerning fashion sensibility has found root in Walter's company which offers a complete line of readily-available as well as bespoke, clothing...employing the best materials and craftsmanship. W & L enjoys a wide appeal as well as an expansive appreciation for their the reasonable prices and extraordinary customer service. I have fallen in "fashion-like" with W & L's vests. For me, Winston and Lee's vests personify the company's creed of what truly fine clothing can express...that being, an Outer Sign of an Inner Reality.

Walter Njboke was born in Nigeria, West Africa. His love for fashion was very evident at a very young age of 13. As a teenager, he had the ability to sketch the kinds of clothes he wanted to wear and gave it to a local tailor to make for him so he could be different. Not until he moved to the United States for College and sports, and spent some time in Italy did he begin to really consider a clothing line.

Our Process
At Winston & Lee. Our Goal is to make the finest suits and shoes using the best materials and craftsmanship available, at the most affordable costs. This is the only way we can continue to offer our clients and retail customers the best product we can produce. We only use high-end wool fabrics like super 150, Cerrutti 1881, and Zegna wool for our suits. We never repeat a style except by special demand when it’s sold out. This ensures that each piece is as original as the special client. We believe a fine suit should be as unique as the individual.
Our shoes are handmade. We only make 300 pairs each month so that we can focus on the details and the story behind each shoe. They are ultra modern, contemporary and fashion forward in design and style. Our goal is to cater to the need of that distinguish client with distinct taste and lifestyle. This client yearns to be different and not afraid to express themselves through fashion. A lot of our collection focus on color, comfort and elegance.
